Avoid grading if:
the card is already damaged badly
centering is obviously terrible
whitening is heavy
it’s a low-value base card
value after grading won’t exceed cost
surface is clouded or scratched beyond repair
card is bent or creased
Not all cards benefit from grading — knowing when to skip saves money.
